BEZ1 Block 111 House Visit, 22 April 2010

Mr Wong Kan Seng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, visited Block 111 at Bishan East Zone 1 on the evening of 22 April 2010. The block visit started at 7:45 pm and ended at 10:00 pm sharp. The block visit is part of the twice monthly house visit program for Mr Wong to pay a personal visit to residents and obtain their feedback.

Block 111 houses 96 households which took part in the recent poll for the Home Improvement Programme administered by the Housing and Development Board. Nearly 95% of the households voted in favour of the programme and residents are eagerly looking forward to the improvement to their homes at a highly subsidised cost.

During the block visit, residents expressed their appreciation to DPM Wong for bringing the programme to their precinct. Many shared valuable feedback and comments with Mr Wong on the safe and friendly neighbourhood. The visit was hosted by Mdm Paridah Yusof and her fellow grassroots leaders and accompanied by officers representing the HDB, Town Council Police, NEA and LTA.

Here are the photos taken during the block visit.
