Bishan East Block Parties, 7 March 2010

The Bishan East RC Zones 1, 3 and 6 organised an interesting array of block parties centred around different themes for their residents on the sunny Sunday of 7 March 2010. The block parties were held at the void decks of Block 103, 182 and the open badminton court beside block 164.

The three events were graced by the Guest-Of-Honour, Mr Wong Kan Seng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC. Residents at block 103 were entertained by an intriguing magic show and "wowed" by the dare-devil stunts brought by a group of enthusiastic group of roller-bladers.

This was followed by the entertainment for kids and adults at block 164 where residents enjoyed breakfast in the cool shades while young children took part in the various games. DPM Wong had the opportunity to interact with a new resident who hails from Haerbin, China!

Next, DPM Wong visited block 182 and mingled with residents while they were entertained by a ventriloquist and our very own yo-yo champion Marcus who lives in Bishan East. And Marcus ranks ninth in international standing as a championship yo-yo competitor! Well-done, Marcus! You did Singapore proud!

Here's the first part of the photo album for the three events.

Here's part 2 of the photo album.
