Mr Wong Kan Seng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs visited block 123 at Bishan East RC Zone 2 on the Thursday evening of 4 February 2010.
DPM Wong visited a total of 96 households in the block and was hosted by the Zone 2 RC Chairperson, Mr Chia Pen Chuen while being accompanied by fellow grassroots leaders and officers from the Town Council, Police, LTA, HDB and NEA. Although the Lunar New Year is around the corner, residents did not mind putting down their chores to warmly welcome DPM Wong into their homes for short chats to give feedbacks.
