On the Saturday morning of 23 January 2010, close to 100 key grassroots leaders (GRLs) assembled at the People's Association Headquarters at King George's Avenue.
The GRLs, led by MPs for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, Ms Josephine Teo, Mayor Zainudin Nordin and Mr Hri Kumar, brainstormed and shared views and suggestions on how to implement the 5 key thrusts identified to engage all walks and segments of the Bishan-Toa Payoh community. The longer term planning horizon (five years) will allow GROs to better plan, prepare and position ourselves to meet longer term challenges. It would also enable GROs to achieve better results with the limited amount of resource available. So do keep a look out for more new, refreshing and exciting programmes and events around your area!
